Autism Evaluations for Children and Adults

As a licensed clinical psychologist, I understand the concerns that can arise when you notice signs of autism in yourself or your child. Whether you are a parent worried about your child’s development or an adult who has recognized similar patterns in your own life, I am here to help.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects individuals across the lifespan. It is characterized by challenges in communication and social interaction, as well as repetitive or obsessive behaviors. While autism is often identified in early childhood, many adults seek evaluation after noticing symptoms in themselves or their family members.

You may want to consider an autism evaluation if you or your child experience any of the following:

  • Difficulty maintaining eye contact or not responding when spoken to or called by name
  • Preference for rigid routines or rules
  • Tendency to isolate or avoid social interaction
  • Repetitive or obsessive behaviors, such as lining up objects or performing tasks in a particular order
  • Involuntary or excessive movements such as blinking, rocking, hand flapping, or finger flicking

A formal diagnosis can provide clarity and open the door to effective support and intervention, helping to address symptoms that may interfere with daily life. Autism can affect relationships, communication at home, school, or work, and may make it challenging to form or maintain friendships.

As a psychologist, I offer comprehensive autism evaluations for both children and adults. These assessments are tailored to your unique needs and can be completed via secure telehealth sessions for your convenience. Once an evaluation is complete, I will work with you to develop strategies to manage symptoms and build on your strengths.

Therapy and, in some cases, medication can be helpful in managing behaviors and improving quality of life. I also provide support in developing social skills, coping strategies, and addressing anxiety.
